We recommend this method to decide which difficulty is right for the character.

  1. Play by yourself and find the difficulty where:
    • You can clear monsters almost immediately.
    • You don’t die immediately, even if you are surrounded by monsters or stay on ground effects (e.g., arcane turrets).
  2. Adjust the difficulty based on efficiency.
Turn on the service and track Experience / hour and legendary drop rate. Then try to reduce and increase the difficulty to find which is best for you. We recommend testing each difficulty for at least 2–3 hours.

Follow these recommendations to improve the efficiency.

  1. Make sure the character has enough toughness.
Get some toughness, even for Demon Hunter or Wizard. The bot has limited kiting capabilities. If the character dies multiple times within a short period of time, the bot will restart the game, and the performance will decline.
  2. Prefer using AOE skills over single target skills.
  3. Avoid skills that are solely used for movement.
We currently take only limited advantage from these skills:
    Sprint,
    Steed Charge (Nightmare),
    Steed Charge (Endurance),
    Spirit Walk (Jaunt),
    Spirit Walk (Severance),
    Teleport (Wormhole),
    Teleport (Reversal).
  4. Experiment with different builds and gear.
If you have multiple complete sets for your character or even multiple characters, try farming with each of them.
  5. Prefer Nephalem Rifts over Bounties.
Monster density is generally higher on Nephalem Rifts.

As for today, the maximum Experience / hour you can expect is around 1B / hour. The reason is the imperfection of the bot’s navigation and battle logic, which we are looking forward to address in the future.
